Driven by a deep commitment to the Greens' Four Pillars—ecological sustainability, grassroots democracy, social justice, peace and non-violence—I seek to represent the Greens in Robertson in the 2025 Federal Election. These principles have guided my life and professional career, spanning over four decades in healthcare and community service.
As a Registered Nurse with 45 years of experience, I've developed extensive expertise in public health, infectious diseases, hospital management, clinical governance, and nursing education. This background has given me firsthand insight into our healthcare system's challenges and the urgent need for reform to ensure equitable access for all Australians.
My dedication to community service extends beyond my professional life. Since joining the Central Coast Greens in 2021, I've brought the same passion that led me to become a foundational member of the Riverina Greens in 2002. I serve as Director of Education at my local Surf Life Saving Club, where I deliver training and perform regular patrol duties as a First Aider and Bronze Medallion holder. I also volunteer with Oz Harvest, fighting food waste while addressing food insecurity in our community.
My commitment to environmental protection is demonstrated through my previous roles as a Rural Fire Service operational firefighter and local Landcare coordinator on the NSW South Coast from 2014 to 2020. These experiences have strengthened my resolve to address climate change and protect our natural environment for future generations.
As a mother of three and grandmother of eight, I understand the importance of creating a sustainable and equitable future for all families. My active lifestyle—including hiking, swimming, and cycling—keeps me connected to our beautiful coastal environment and reinforces my determination to preserve it.
