Tasmanian Greens members are voting by postal ballot to choose our next Tasmanian Greens Senator, following Peter Whish-Wilson’s decision to retire. This postal vote is how Tasmanian Greens members will choose who becomes Tasmania's next Greens Senator.
Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.
How to vote by post
This ballot is conducted by postal vote via by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission (TEC).
Once you receive your ballot pack by mail:
- Complete your ballot following the instructions provided.
- Post your ballot back to the TEC as early as possible.
Key dates – please read carefully
Voting opens: Monday 2 March 2026
Voting closes: Tuesday 14 April 2026
Important:
Your completed ballot must be received by the TEC by 14 April 2026 to be counted.
Posting it on the closing date may mean it arrives too late.
To be safe, we strongly recommend posting your ballot the week before the deadline.
