The Greens are calling on the State Government to make public transport free during the fuel crisis to provide immediate cost-of-living relief to South Australians.

Tasmania and Victoria have already announced that they are waiving public transport fares to protect people from soaring fuel costs. And other states, like Queensland have dropped their fares all the way down to 50C.

But here in SA, Labor is refusing to the same level of support when it comes to public transport. And we think it’s about time they get on board.

Making public transport free is a simple, practical move that would cut costs for families and take pressure off fuel supplies and prices, and it could happen right now if the State Government chooses.

We know they won't take action without pressure from the Greens and the community.

Join us in calling for the State Government to make public transport free for the duration of the fuel crisis. Together we can ease the daily costs for everyday South Australians - the State Government just needs to get on board.
