The Greens SA are hiring a staff member to lead our key seat campaigns for the state election in March 2026.
About the Role
The Greens SA are looking for a Campaign Manager to build a winning campaign. With a small change in the vote, the Greens could win new seats this election, including winning lower house seats for the first time in South Australia. We’re looking for a Campaign Manager to build and lead a campaign team for the upcoming state election campaign. The successful applicant will work closely with candidates and a team of staff and volunteers to execute our campaign strategy across advertising, communications and field campaigning. This position reports to the Party Director.

Conditions
Salary: Between Level 4.1 and Level 5.1 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, subject to skills and experience (currently between $85,120 and $97,378).
Workload: 0.8 FTE (4 days per week), moving to full time in 2026.
Duration: The position will be offered on a short-term contract ending April 5, 2026.
Start date: From July 28, 2025.

Primary responsibilities
▲ Project management of the key seat campaigns: develop the strategy to win and manage the high-performing team to help execute it. You’ll be responsible for project managing the delivery of key campaign tactics, budget management and ensuring we’re tracking for success.
▲ Internal communication and team management: you’ll be responsible for managing communication and successful working relationships with team members and other key internal stakeholders, and may manage other campaign staff.
▲ Advise and assist the candidate: on campaign strategy developments, campaign activities, rapid response opportunities and the campaigns performance against its goals. You’ll support the candidate to use their limited time strategically, recognise and respond to risk and build crucial connections throughout the community.
▲ Communications: lead campaign communications across email, social media and print.
▲ Field integration: you’ll work with a campaign organiser to ensure voter contact activities are integrated with, and supported by, the wider campaign strategy.
▲ Risk management: help to protect the campaign from risk, ensuring financial viability and working closely with staff and the candidate to manage risks to the campaign.
▲ Other duties as directed.

▲ Work in accordance with Greens SA Charter, Constitution and Code of Conduct.
▲ You must hold, or be prepared to acquire, a Working With Children Check.
▲ The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings at times, is essential to this role.

Desirable
▲ Experience working in politics or advocacy, and a sound understanding of campaign strategy and tactics.
▲ An understanding of the South Australian political landscape.
▲ Experience using Greens systems like Civi, Rocket, or gVIRS, or experience with a similar CRM in your work or volunteering role.
