The Greens SA are hiring a staff member to lead our key seat organising efforts during the upcoming state election.
About the Role
We’re looking for someone passionate, organised and experienced to join The Greens SA team as the State Election Key Seat Organiser. The successful applicant will work directly under the Key Seats Campaign Manager to engage with Greens SA members and volunteers to lead campaign organising activities to achieve the goals of our State Election strategy.
The State Election Key Seats Organiser will grow our volunteer movement and be instrumental in coordinating voter engagement activities throughout the state election campaign. They will provide training to volunteers in campaign tactics and ensure that our members and volunteers are ‘election ready’. This is an exciting role for a passionate and driven people-person who wants to grow our Greens movement. It is imperative that the successful applicant be skilled in building supportive and productive relationships.

Conditions
Salary: Between Level 3.3 and Level 4.1 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, subject to skills and experience (currently between $74,732 and $85,120).
Workload: 0.8 FTE (4 days per week), full time from 2026.
Duration: The position will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending on 5 April 2026.
Start date: 28 July 2025.
Reports to: Key Seats Campaign Manager.
Primary responsibilities
▲ Develop and manage a volunteer leadership team: Build a team of local volunteer leaders, develop their skills and support them with training, resources, and regular team meetings.
▲ Recruit and activate volunteers: Alongside your volunteer leadership team, execute a volunteer recruitment strategy that will allow us to grow our movement and maximise the number of volunteers directly speaking to voters at their doors, over the phone and at polling booths.
▲ Facilitate voter contact: Through the volunteer teams you have established, oversee the execution of our voter contact strategy, including supporting voter and volunteer calling parties, door knocking events and data management.
▲ Event management: Assist the Campaign Manager with the organisation of large events like campaign launches, community forums and training workshops.
▲ Manage and report on campaign data: Lead on ensuring campaign supporter and voter data is kept up to date and secure and provide weekly progress reports regarding key KPIs, and write an evaluation report in the weeks following the campaign.
▲ Other duties as directed.
General requirements
▲ Work in accordance with Greens SA Charter, Constitution and Code of Conduct.
▲ You must hold, or be prepared to acquire, a Working With Children Check.
▲ The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings at times, is essential to this role.

▲ Great with people, able to work well in a team, as well as to influence and motivate others and manage.
▲ Strong organisational and problem solving skills, including managing your time in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, creating and achieving goals, and finding creative solutions.
▲ Demonstrated ability to pick up new IT systems quickly.
▲ Demonstrated experience working supportively and collaboratively with a diverse range of people.
▲ Demonstrated experience in delivering training or developing skills in staff or volunteers.
Desirable
▲ Experience working in politics or advocacy, and a sound understanding of campaign strategy and tactics.
▲ An understanding of the South Australian political landscape.
▲ Experience delivering field campaign tactics such as door-knocking, phone-banking and community events.
▲ Experience with leading a team of staff and/or volunteers.
▲ Experience using Greens systems like Civi, Rocket, or gVIRS, or experience with a similar CRM in your work or volunteering role.
