This public meeting will discuss how we can defend the Safe Schools program, and fight homophobia and transphobia within the community.
In recent months Australia has seen a divisive campaign against the important work of the Safe Schools Coalition. We have also seen an increasingly ugly and homophobic campaign against marriage equality within the parliament and the community. This may be a sign of things to come if we see a plebiscite on the issue of marriage equality.
You are encouraged to attend this public meeting to discuss how best to respond to these campaigns, and combat the homophobia and transphobia we are seeing in Australian politics.
