I’m excited to be your Greens candidate for Hammond. I’m running as I believe the Greens have a unique opportunity to turn South Australia around.
The privatisation of state assets and the reversal of foundational tax reforms has prompted me to act. I am proud to be a first cousin, twice removed, of W.B. Rounsevell, who played an instrumental role in the development of the 1884 Income Tax Act. This connection deepens my commitment to restoring the principles behind that act, as I have seen firsthand how critical these changes are for our democracy.
My background is deeply rooted in community service, with experience in the Department for Child Protections anti-poverty teams, financial counselling and the South Australian Housing Trust. I’ve engaged across all housing sectors, including government, defence, social, and private, allowing me to understand the diverse needs of our community.
As the recipient of a National Service Medal from the State Emergency Service, a former security patrol officer within Hammond and surrounds, and the daughter of a career soldier, I am also concerned about our emergency response, security and defence capabilities.
It is my social responsibility to stand with the Greens and ensure that South Australians are informed, thus empowered to vote for a new, exciting and well connected South Australia.
