Susan Ditter

Candidate for Bragg

Hi, I’m Susan Ditter

An enlightened government is one which is transparent and encourages engagement in and protection of our democracy.

I grew up in Bragg and my parents and grandparents lived here.  I’ve also lived in Port Adelaide, Darwin, East Arnhem Land, QLD, the UK and Hobart and have had rich learning experiences in the arts, education and health.  I value this electorate, this state and this country for all it offers to our diverse populations.  SA has made progress in education, health, and justice reform.  You are reading this because you know there is much more to do and the Greens are the party to work with government to:

  • Provide protection of our environment, our climate, our history our stories and our libraries;
  • Advance voice treaty truth for First Nations peoples;
  • Achieve a South Australian Human Rights Act;
  • Provide enrichment through accessible experiences for all in the great outdoors, in the arts and the creation of community sports and cultural events;
  • Support research and development, best practice and evidence based decision-making.

There is decreasing trust in government.  Transparent, evidence-based decision making will dispel this fear.   My time in the community sector has taught me to listen, empower and advocate for equity, and for people’s experiences to be heard.

I have the energy to voice our aspirations for this electorate and this state.
