Hi, I'm Sophie
I'm a consumer lawyer, a Collingwood local, and a current Councillor and former Mayor of the City of Yarra.
Our local area deserves a representative who will listen to them, rather than corporations and property developers. As a competition and consumer lawyer, I have experience taking on powerful interests and standing up for everyday people.
I was elected to Yarra Council in 2020 and as Mayor in 2021 and in that time have introduced new parks, upgraded streets for people walking and cycling, accelerated our climate action and connected our community to the Council.
As your Councillor for Hoddle ward (which covers Collingwood), I will fight for renters and for more public housing, for First Nations and refugee justice and for stronger action on climate change.
With our community’s support, we can elect a majority on Yarra council and put people before profit.
