"Organisations like Legal Aid Act provide invaluable legal advice and support for those Canberrans on low incomes or in vulnerable situations, including women fleeing domestic violence.
It’s great to hear that today, Legal Aid has been advised that funding for its vital frontline domestic violence program has been secured.
It’s a shame that it has taken so long for the future of this service to be secured, but I am glad to see that the concerns of the community have been heard and the Attorney General has recommitted to directly funding it.”
