I am sponsoring a petition calling on the ACT Government to reduce the speed of Nullarbor Avenue to 50km/h (maintaining the 40km/h school zones and no trucks policy) and introduce speed controls to increase safety to the community, better the neighbourhood and reduce through traffic of this residential street.
Its a street, not a speedway!
Nullarbor Avenue connects schools, playing fields, and homes and should be safe for everyone in our community. The best way to do this is to drop the speed limit to 50km/h so drivers and stop in time if something unexpected happens.
