The ACT Government will invest nearly $9 million in the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) to improve security arrangements.
Minister for Corrections Shane Rattenbury said the government would commit $8.8 million over the next three-and-a-half years to enhance security at the AMC following a number of recent reviews.
