Politicians should be accountable to the community, not their wealthy donors.
The super wealthy and big corporations lobby and makes donations to Labor and the Liberals, then those same politicians turn around and protect the super wealthy.
They approve new gas projects in a climate crisis, block corruption investigations costing us billions, hand over public land to property investors who jack up house and rent prices, and pass laws that make it easier for the big banks and supermarkets to boost their profits. Meanwhile everyone else is paying more and struggling to make ends meet.
Labor and the Liberals are funded by dirty donations from companies whose corruption and greed costs us billions. They’re more accountable to big businesses and their billionaire donors than they are to everyday Victorians.
The Greens don’t take corporate donations and we don’t think big corporations should be able to buy influence. We’re bringing laws to parliament to stop dirty donations and curb the influence of big business.
Labor and the Liberals will always vote for the big corporations and super wealthy who line their party slush funds. But together, we can stop them.
Join the campaign to stop the influence of big corporations and billionaire donors on Victorian politics
