Planning for Land Forces 2026 is already under way with the Victorian Government renewing as the principal sponsor. Land Forces is the largest weapons sales expo in the Asia-Pacific.
We won’t stand by and allow our government to pour tax dollars into bringing the business of war to our city again.
The inexcusable, excessive police force aimed at anti war protesters at the Land Forces 2024 was terrifying. Hundreds were injured from rubber bullets, tear gas and pepper spray.
The Greens immediately called for a review into police behaviour through the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC).
Let’s not forget, this damage could have been completely avoided if the Premier cancelled this war expo when we asked, instead she dug her heels in and called in cops from the regions and interstate.
