Viva Energy wants to build a massive gas import terminal in Corio Bay, near Geelong, and the giant fossil fuel company recently cleared another hurdle in their endeavour to do so – in June 2026, the EPA granted them a development licence.
This gas terminal will import fracked gas from other states and create a huge amount of emissions. At a time when the climate crisis is more urgent than ever, Labor should not be approving new gas and fossil fuel projects.
We can't let this happen.
