The marine environment of Corio Bay, near Geelong, is home to internationally significant wetlands, threatened birds and dolphins.
But right now, Corio Bay is under threat from two proposed new gas developments.
Viva Energy and Vopak Energy have announced plans for gas import hubs. These would threaten the local environment and contribute to the climate emergency.
Victoria doesn’t need new gas. We need our Government to urgently transition off coal, gas and oil to protect the climate and create new jobs in renewable energy.
We can stop these disastrous developments, just like the community saved Westernport from AGL’s monster gas ship.
Add your name to the growing campaign to protect Corio Bay. Call on the Victorian Labor Government to block Viva and Vopak energy and their destructive gas plans.
