Budget fails to address public transport overcrowding

Greens transport spokesperson Samantha Dunn says the State Budget contains no plan to address overcrowding on Victorian trains, trams and buses.

"What this budget shows is Labor has no plan to address overcrowding on public transport, in Melbourne or Regional Victoria,” Samantha Dunn said.

"Although there’s increases to services they don’t match the growth in patronage on public transport.

"If you’re a commuter already stuck in an overcrowded train, tram or bus, there’s more of that to come,” she said.
