Greens MP calls for mandatory height controls on the Ivanhoe precinct

Greens MP for Eastern Metropolitan Samantha Dunn has called on the Andrews Government to limit the height of the proposed development at the Ivanhoe shopping centre precinct.

"Local residents are concerned that the existing discretionary height controls will allow tall buildings which will be detrimental to the amenity of the area.

“The residents want property developers to respect the distinctive character and valued heritage.

“The Minister for Planning needs to support the community and impose mandatory height controls as he promised earlier in the year.

“The Greens will continue to advocate for communities in the face of developer greed.
