Australian Greens Leader Richard Di Natale and NSW Greens Senator Lee Rhiannon:
On behalf of the Australian Greens we extend our condolences to the families and friends of Richard and Carolyn Green and John Davis.
These three wonderful people were united in their passion to protect our planet and give back to the community. Through their filming and photography they brought the beauty of our planet and an understanding of our natural environment to a wide public audience. John Davis showed such dedication and passion for tackling global warming and ensuring our planet is a safe one for future generations.
Last Saturday just hours before this tragic accident Richard, Carolyn and John were at Breeza on the Liverpool Plains, joining hundreds of people in a united call to save this rich farming land from massive coal mines.
They were stalwarts of the environment movement in New South Wales but their loss will be felt across the country and they will be deeply missed.
