Greens transport spokesperson Samantha Dunn says it’s time for the Victorian Government to get on with legalising ride sharing service Uber.
“Ride sharing services like Uber are popular and here to stay. It’s time for the Government to get on board and legalise Uber, like other states have done already,” Samantha Dunn said.
“While the Victorian Government dithers, last year the ACT Greens-Labor Government led the way and successfully regulated Uber. New South Wales, Western Australia and Tasmania have since announced that they will also make the ride sharing service legal.
“It’s time for the Victorian Government to stop wasting time and introduce regulations which protect passengers and drivers,” Samantha Dunn said.
