With reports the federal and Victorian governments are close to an agreement on infrastructure spending, the Greens say public transport projects must be the priority.
“Victorians have had to put up with packed trains, slow trams and infrequent buses for far too long,” said Senator Janet Rice.
“With Melbourne Metro so high on the IA priority list, the Prime Minister would be wise to fund this essential project.
“Come on, Malcolm Turnbull – Victorians want the choice of public transport that works.”
