Bus Patronage Data

Ms DUNN (Eastern Metropolitan) — My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Public Transport and it is regarding transparency of bus data. Public Transport Victoria publishes train and tram passenger load data twice annually. However, no bus patronage data has been published since 2012. Transparency with regard to patronage and passenger loads is critical for public scrutiny of whether public transport operators are meeting service standards. At a time when the Labor government has entered into preferred negotiations with some service providers, it is critical that transparency be maintained. The action I seek is for the Minister for Public Transport to ensure that bus patronage data be provided at the same time as rail and tram passenger load data?
