MS PENNICUIK — To ask the Minister for Corrections: In relation to the prison education program:
(1) What statistics can be provided on the number and percentage of prisoners participating in education programs in prison for 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-2016.
(2) What is the number and percentage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners participating in each of these periods.
ANSWER 25 October 2016:
(1) Figures are reported in the Report on Government Services each year.
(2) Figures are reported at 30 June each financial year. 2015-16 figures are not yet available.
