2015-12-08

MS DUNN — To ask the Minister for Agriculture (for the Minister for Public Transport): In relation to the Metro Trains Melbourne's recent public announcement of plans to split the train network into five independent networks —

(1)    What legal obligation does the Government retain to approve those plans.

(2)    What considerations will determine the approval or rejection of the proposed changes.

(3)    What methodology will be applied to assessing those considerations.

(4)    What public consultation process will occur.

ANSWER:

The premise of this question is incorrect. The metropolitan train network is one system, not five independent networks.
