hi, i'm arkie. 

I am an artist, casual hospitality worker, renter and Stonnington local for 5 years. 

I moved to Stonnington in 2020, a month before the first lockdown, and I am passionate about rebuilding the thriving social and commercial zones that haven’t recovered since the pandemic.

I love the abundance of green spaces in our area, but I believe that council can help to improve them so that they are accessible and useful for all residents. 

Like many young people, I am alarmed by the lack of climate action, and as a renter I am frustrated by being overlooked by the government.

I’m running because I'm sick of young people like me being taken for granted by the major parties. I want to represent young people on council and ensure that our voices are heard. I value the input of those with different lived experiences than mine, and will listen and advocate for the community. 

On council, I will fight to implement local strategies to improve housing affordability and ease cost of living pressures, prioritise safe active and public transport, and facilitate carbon footprint reduction and eco-friendly measures for local business and residents.
