I love Melbourne and our shared commitment to diversity and fairness.

I was first elected to Parliament in 2014, and was re-elected in the 2018 state election. I am the Deputy Leader of the Victorian Greens and Manager of Parliamentary Business. I'm also spokesperson for:

  • Climate Change and Energy
  • Environment (including forests, water and waste)
  • Treasury and Economic Development (including industry and trade, small business and tourism)
  • Arts
  • Emergency Services
  • Regional Development and Agriculture.

Growing up in country Victoria, it was impossible not to form a strong bond with our environment. I trained as a scientist, and have worked hard for social justice all my adult life.

I know how important it is to take action on climate change. Before becoming an MP, I was the CEO of a national climate change non-profit organisation. I am proud to represent a party that is fighting for a clean economy, and to make Victoria 100% powered by renewable energy by 2030.

I'm passionate about bringing power back into public hands. For too long, electricity retailers have raked in huge profits while everyday Victorians struggle to make ends meet. But we can do something about it! Take a look at my announcement of the Greens' plan for a public energy retailer below.
