Gufran Mohammed

Candidate for Yan Yean

This is an image of Gufran, a smiling individual standing outdoors. He has a mostly shaved head, with some dark hair and is wearing a light blue collared shirt.

I didn’t plan on running for parliament until I saw firsthand how rigged the system is against everyday Australians.

Working in the education sector, I fought through layers of red tape to secure vital disability funding for struggling schools. While I was proud to get those kids the support they deserve, the resistance I faced from inside the machine woke me up. I realised that education is just the tip of the iceberg.

The major parties stand by while supermarkets and energy companies price-gouge us, they back devastating overseas wars, and they protect the big end of town who funnel millions in ‘donations’ to politicians.

The Greens refuse to take a cent from these corporations. We are powered entirely by everyday volunteers.

I am running for Yan Yean to unrig the system, and to fight for you, your family, and your job just as hard as I fought for those students.
