hi, i'm lucas

I'm a father, teacher, artist, activist and unionist. I’ve been fighting for climate justice and social equality for over twenty years. I will fight for strong local action on the big issues that matter: climate change, cost of living, and creating a more equal society. 

I teach visual art in the adult education sector including our wonderful Castlemaine Community House. I’m also a National Tertiary Education Union Delegate and a passionate advocate for worker’s rights and public and tertiary education. 

We have huge opportunities in Mount Alexander to find innovative solutions to the challenges we face. We can create world-class active transport; build affordable housing; super-charge our climate action plan, and provide our environment the care it needs.

Many in our community are struggling with the cost of living and access to housing. We need a local council that represents our progressive and creative community and that will put our well being at the centre of everything it does.

Together, let’s create an inclusive, thriving Castlemaine community for future generations.
