Hi I'm Maggie
I am a social worker, carer and animal lover who wants to be a positive representative for Sydenham, fighting for real change to policies on cost of living, transport and roads, and government accountability for everyday people.
I decided to run as a Greens candidate while stuck in traffic on Taylors Road, stressing about the cost of living, moving house, caring responsibilities and work. I realised that things don’t magically get easier for us - if we want life to be better for working class people, we need to take action and make it happen. The Greens are powered by people, not corporations and we need more representatives in Parliament who are truly advocating for our needs as times get tougher.
Sydenham has been neglected for too long - I am committed to prioritising community voices, from upgrading our roads to making housing more affordable for everyone.
