Hi, i'm rhonda.
I'm an academic at Monash University and have served as a councillor in the City of Greater Dandenong since 2020. I'm committed to listening to our community and taking action together on improving local infrastructure, public safety, enhancing green spaces, and fostering strong community connections.
Cleeland Ward, as part of a rapidly developing area, faces challenges with outdated infrastructure and insufficient community services that need urgent attention. I am dedicated to enhancing our footpaths and street lighting, establishing a community hub for high-quality child care and improved community connection, and revitalising the Dandenong Market to ensure it provides affordable, high-quality goods.
Furthermore, I am committed to continuing to be a strong voice for Cleeland Ward, focusing on protecting and enhancing our green spaces, which are vital for our health and well-being. A key strength of our area is its rich diversity, and I am committed to ensuring that our diverse community is not only represented but also actively celebrated and integrated into the fabric of our local governance. This commitment involves promoting inclusivity in all council initiatives and ensuring that our diverse voices are heard and respected in decision-making processes.
