Hi, I am Rhonda Garad, your councillor for Greater Dandenong Council in the Keysborough South Ward.

I am a health professional currently working as a lecturer and researcher at Monash University with a PhD in health policy.

In the 25 years I have lived and raised my family in the City of Greater Dandenong, I have forged strong links with the local community including as an office bearer on the School Council of my local public secondary school. 

As your councillor, I will;

• drive greater climate change action by Greater Dandenong Council

• strengthen Council advocacy and support for people seeking asylum and refugees

• promote clean, sustainable waste solutions

• advocate for high quality, affordable education and improved public transport services

• deliver real gender equity improvements including more female community leaders

• fight for the protection of the Greater Dandenong green wedge 

• support affordable, accessible and quality Council services and facilities

and work for a safer, fairer community that is free of discrimination and strongly promotes diversity.

I commit to working tirelessly to enhance liveability for families and local residents and strengthen resilience in dealing with the challenges of the current pandemic.
