Veronika Levchenkova

Candidate for Melton

This is an image of Veronika, who smiles warmly at the camera. She is standing outdoors in an outdoor environment, blurred trees fill the background. She has shoulder-length, blonde wavy hair, and wears a floral printed shirt of pink and purple. Black glasses frame her face.

I’m a local mum of four, carer for my elderly parent, and community organiser who believes our community deserves real choices in politics. I’m running to help build a more sustainable, equitable and socially just future that puts families, community and the environment ahead of corporate interests.

I came within 22 votes of winning when I ran in the 2024 local government election and it’s a clear sign that our community is ready for change. I’ve been active in local clubs, environmental groups and parents’ programs, and I’m committed to listening, showing up and working alongside our community with integrity, respect and hope.

Our electorate is young, diverse and multicultural, with many families facing rising living costs, housing stress and insecure work. With most residents renting or paying a mortgage, people are feeling the pressure and want leaders who understand the challenges they’re facing. I’m focused on practical Greens policies that will make a real difference in Melton, like affordable housing and fair rents, lower energy bills, safer communities and environmental protection.
