Hi, I'm Wes Gault
After over forty years working with all levels of government, directing the development of major public hospital and laboratory facilities and managing an international consultancy, I believe that I have the skills and experience to deliver better outcomes for the Boroondara community including:
- Continuing to refocus Council’s spending on more pressing community needs
- Protecting and building on Boroondara’s rich heritage
- Continuing the development of much better quality and diverse range of new dwellings, near transport, shops and open space, sited and detailed to be in harmony with the established character of our neighbourhoods
- The ongoing strengthening of heritage overlays
- Delivering on our plans to revitalise our strip shopping precincts
- Ensuring Boroondara continues to lead local action on climate change
- Ensure that council operations remain net zero
- Develop closer working relationships with Electrify Boroondara and together drive the installation by property owners of solar panels and storage batteries
- Continue the installation of public charging stations
- Establish safer walking, cycle routes and shared trails such as the Rocket to River trail and the extension of the LE Bray Trail.
