Zave Evans

Candidate for Gippsland South

This is an image of Zave, who is smiling at the camera in front of a large tree and bushland. He has long, brown hair that is tied up and is wearing a purple collared shirt that features a small bird where a pocket would be.

I’m an environmentalist with a background in conservation, seasonal land management work, community projects and frontline bushfire response. I’ve spent years travelling and working across regional Australia, listening to people with very different views and learning how  curiosity, respect and a willingness to listen shape meaningful political conversations.

My electorate covers a vast and diverse region, made up of many different communities with different priorities. I don’t believe there’s a single narrative that fits everyone. What I do believe is that those within our community care deeply about the land, their safety, and their future.

I’m running to be a representative who can bridge divides and talk practically about issues like bushfire risk, land use, native forests, offshore gas and the role of multinational corporations in regional Australia. I want politics to focus on solutions that actually benefit people and place and deliver a resilient future for Gippsland South.
