Social services, child protection and ageing
Everyone deserves access to the support they need to live with dignity and security.
But the current system is failing too many, leaving people without the services they need to get by. The Auditor-General has found that children in out of home care are not having their needs met, and First Nations kids continue to be overrepresented in care. The Labor Government is not even close to meeting its Closing the Gap obligations.
The Greens believe kids should be safe in care, people should be able to age with dignity, and everyone should have equitable access to the services they need.
