Alternatives to Violence Project

2015-12-09

The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is a training programme enabling participants to deal with potentially violent situations in new and creative ways.

AVP is a not for profit, non-religious organisation of volunteers which runs conflict resolution workshops in prisons, schools and with community groups.

Workshops are delivered by trained facilitators and are experiential.

The workshops draw on the shared experience of participants, using interactive exercises, discussions, games and role-plays to examine the ways we respond to situations where injustice, prejudice, frustration and anger can lead to aggressive behaviour and violence.

There will be a Community Basic workshop planned for Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd January, held in the Darlington area.
