Greens Member for South Metropolitan Lynn MacLaren MLC says Federal environmental approval today of a freeway through the Beeliar Wetlands has put the Turnbull Government at odds with communities across Perth’s southern suburbs.
“The Turnbull Government has picked a fight with a force that no politician should under-estimate: well-organised, strong community feeling,” Ms MacLaren said.
“The Rethink the Link campaign has broad support, expertise and plain common sense behind it – factors which cannot be said of the Perth Freight Link.
