Australian Greens Senator Rachel Siewert has welcomed the Western Australia coroner reopening an application to release CCTV footage of Ms Dhu in the lead up to her death in custody.
“This is a good development for the family who have been calling for the CCTV footage of Ms Dhu in custody to be released.
“This comes just days after the Senate supported the motion by myself and Senator Lines for the release of the footage, it is good to see the family’s campaign progressing.
“I will continue to support the family of Ms Dhu, who have long called for the footage to be released”.
