Progress on implementing recommendations from the Senate Housing Inquiry

2016-02-02

The findings of the Senate Economics Committee Inquiry into Housing Affordability tabled in May 2015 contained 40 recommendations. The government only supported 9 of them. They included to ensure adequate funding so that women and children escaping domestic violence are housed in secure and appropriate housing, as well as other concrete ways to solve our housing crisis.
They voted against this motion that merely asked them to update the senate on progress they were making on the recommendations they supported.
