Hi, I’m Isabella, your local Greens candidate for council.
Right now we face a critical decade. Our community is facing the effects of the climate crisis, a housing crisis and rapidly increasing cost of living. Here in Perth, you can see the results on every street and everyone has a story to tell.
This situation isn’t normal and should never be accepted as the way things are. It is the result of decades of bad decisions at all levels of government. More and more our local council seems to represent us less and property developers and corporations more.
I’m running as a candidate for council so you know exactly where our values align and we can get to work building on the areas that are common ground amongst all our community to deliver real results for our city.
Most of our community are renters and so many are doing it tough, those experiencing housing stress are so often cast aside by a council chamber that lacks compassion and some of the most vulnerable in our city have been targeted by vicious remarks designed to divide.
With my background in conservation and land management I will bring to council a passion for protecting and expanding our Greens spaces, keeping our city livable and accessible and pushing back on the corporations and property developers who want to trash our city for profit.
This is such a pivotal time for our city and Perth residents deserve a council that shares their compassion, their community spirit and who seeks to engage residents from a place of constructive consensus building. I hope to be that person and that is why I am seeking your vote before October 21.
I'd love to hear from you!
