Hi, I'm Martin.

I’m a public servant, a renter trying to save for a house and I'm feeling the cost-of-living bite. I want to see Hotham represented by somebody who knows what everyday Aussies are going through and has a plan to make things better.

I hear it from my neighbours, I hear it from my footy teammates, I hear it from people at the dog park. More needs be done.

It's time politicians became more ambitious and got the courage to make changes people can actually feel. But the major parties are too busy yelling at each other over irrelevant culture wars to try and score meaningless points. We can’t keep voting for the same two parties and expecting a different result.

If you want change, the first step is to vote for it. This time, vote 1 Greens.   

We have a plan to achieve this, including among many things, to:

• Build affordable homes to rent and buy by establishing a Public Builder for 200,000 quality new homes.

• Lower grocery bills by capping prices on essentials and making price-gouging illegal.

• Expand Medicare by covering dental and mental healthcare and increasing GP bulk-billing rates.

• Fix our Public Education system by fully funding our schools, boosting pay to attract top teachers and ensuring no school is left behind.

I've advocated for multicultural, migrant and refugee communities by supporting people to navigate the system and elevate their voice to parliament. But it shouldn't be so hard for you to have your voice heard.

In Hotham, that will change with me. You'll have a representative who lives in the community, plays footy in the community and is accessible to the community
