The Learning
In this work three artists collaborate symbolic conversations of ideals and fears of the future. Natalie initiated the first layer of the ‘The Learning’ exploring the relationship between members in society - who is silenced, listening or walking away. Mandy’s illustrative and playful ‘hairy creatures’ floating on the canvas represents spirits observing, listening, scaring and therefore warning the peoples. Kates background of native flora represents a lush overhang of possibility. The background starry sky embraces the figures, trees, spirits and story reminding us of our connection to larger spaces.
