Ban Greyhound Exports

Each day, animals are made to suffer in the name of gambling, entertainment and food. It's time to put a stop to it.

By signing this, you will also hear from us about our animal welfare campaigns from time to time.

The ongoing cruelty, neglect and abuse of greyhounds must be stopped.

Between 2016 and July 2023, 1,948 greyhounds were exported overseas from Australia. 385 greyhounds have been exported from January to July in this year alone.

Export of Australian greyhounds for commercial purposes puts dogs at risk of cruelty, abuse & neglect. A recent ABC expose further highlighted how brutal the trade is. A ban on greyhound export is long overdue.

A Senate Inquiry is looking into  Senator Mehreen Faruqi’s bill to ban greyhound export.

The legislation will ban the commercial trade of greyhounds to and from Australia, including breeding and racing. This ban also includes a prohibition on the export or import of breeding material.

These poor dogs sent overseas deserve protection. Will you sign our petition to support a ban on greyhound exports?
