Those who steal from their workers must pay the price.

Super theft is wage theft.

Australian workers are currently robbed of at least $3.3 billion in superannuation each year.

Victims of super theft are disproportionately young, low paid or migrant workers.  They are most commonly workers in accommodation and food services, retail and construction.

Many of these victims don’t have the resources or time to hire a lawyer and fight in the courts for their basic legal entitlements across various pieces of obscure legislation.

Super is not an optional extra.

It is a workplace entitlement that protects a decent life in retirement for millions. Stealing super should be criminalised in workplace law.

This would reduce super theft and mean justice for millions of workers.

Sign our petition and urge Labor to send a strong message to corporations like 7 Eleven and dodgy bosses like George Calombaris that if you steal super from your workers, you will pay the price.
