Israeli President Isaac Herzog has been found by an independent UN Commission to have incited genocide, a crime under Australian and international law.
Yet Labor governments across the country are rolling out the red carpet for a man who should be in the Hague.
People are rightly disturbed. Tens of thousand of us are coming together to say no to genocide and no to Herzog’s visit.
That’s why the Greens are calling for:
- President Herzog to be immediately sent home.
- The State of Israel to end its ongoing genocide in Gaza and comply fully with the orders of the International Court of Justice and allow the passage of more aid into Gaza.
- An end for all Australian military exports to Israel.
- Sanctions on all members of the State of Israel's war cabinet.
- An independent review into excessive police force and tactics used by NSW Police at the Herzog protest in Sydney on February 9th, 2026.
The Greens are in solidarity with those who are turning out across the country to show that we firmly stand for peace and against genocide.
Across the world, when politicians and police try to violently stop peaceful protest, it only empowers our movement to become even stronger.
We are part of the world’s biggest movement for peace, and our message is clear: genocide is the crime, not peaceful protest.
