How we work has changed – but many workplaces haven’t kept up. It’s time to give workers access to greater flexibility and the right to work from home.

That’s why the Greens have launched a work from home policy that brings Australian workplaces into the 21st century.

In recent years, an increasing number of Australians have shifted to remote and hybrid work. The change has been great for productivity, job satisfaction and worker health, so why haven't our workplaces caught up?

Under the new Greens policy, employers would be legally required to positively consider reasonable requests to work from home at least two days a week, provided working from home was not at odds with the inherent nature of a worker’s role.

The Greens are leading the national conversation about what a fair, flexible, and future-ready workforce should look like. We're calling on Labor and the Coalition to back in these workplace reforms.

That's why we're fighting for A Right to Work From Home.

Workers should have a genuine, legal right to request work from home arrangements, with stronger protections against unreasonable refusals—especially for carers, parents, and people with disabilities.
