Stop Woodside's Browse Drilling

NO MORE COAL & GAS

Australians won’t see any benefit from Browse, but we will all pay the price for Woodside’s greed.

Woodside’s Browse Project is about one thing only: making more money for Woodside.

They admit the project only stacks up if Australians hand over the gas for free. That’s why they’re spending millions fighting a minimum 25% tax on gas exports.

Woodside’s Browse project is a danger to:

  • Scott Reef, where they plan to drill wells alongside a 15 million-year old reef. An ecologically significant marine environment, home to endangered pygmy blue whales and vulnerable green sea turtles.
  • 40,000-year-old Murujuga rock art, including the oldest known depiction of the human face. Browse is part of Woodside’s Burrup Hub, which risks further damaging the sacred petroglyphs, which are already being corroded by emissions.
  • All of us - polluting gas projects like Browse are causing increased bushfires, floods, cyclones and droughts - pushing up food costs, insurance prices and health risks for everyone.

And Woodside is buying political influence to greenlight their disastrous gas expansion.

They have donated over $2 million to Labor and the Liberals during the last 10 years. This isn’t charity, it’s an investment. It’s the same reason they sponsor Nippers and the Fremantle Dockers – buying public and political support.

Labor doesn't want to stand up to their big gas donors, so we have to make them. Public opposition to Woodside’s Browse must be undeniable.

Add your name to this campaign to demonstrate your support and to stay in the loop about actions you can take to stop Woodside’s Browse drilling – and protect Scott Reef for good.
