As a recognised political party of the Australian Parliament and through our membership of the Australian Political Exchange Council (APEC), the Australian Greens have been afforded a range of delegation positions on APEC sponsored trips for 2024.
Applications are currently open for participation in a delegation to Republic of Korea from 31 August to 6 September 2024 (Briefing Day – 30 August)
Selection of Delegates
The APEC’s criteria for the selection of delegates are that they:
- must be party members;
- be between 25 and 46 years of age;
- are politically active individuals who have the potential to make a significant contribution to political life;
- must be Australian citizens;
- participate in all aspects of the exchange program including the mandatory briefing day.
Applications are encouraged from all Australian Greens party members, state and federal party employees, state and federal parliamentary employees, and local, state and federal elected representatives who are aged between 25 and 40 years.
How to Apply
To apply, please submit your CV and a brief letter indicating which APEC exchange you’re applying for and addressing the following selection criteria:
- A demonstrated commitment to the Australian Greens.
- An understanding of how this experience will develop your personal and professional skills as a young political leader.
- A working knowledge of Australian Greens policies, as well as current domestic and international affairs.
As part of their covering letter, applicants should provide an outline of their proposed trip, including the country they would visit, the focus/es of their trip, potential meetings and activities they would undertake, and how the exchange would contribute to the Australian Greens.
Successful applicants are required to submit a written report to the Australian Greens Party Room within 1 month of the completion of their exchange.

Applications for the exchange to the Republic of Korea close 5:00pm, 14 June 2024.
