In an ever-changing world, we are faced with challenges that seem almost insurmountable; how does this impact our vision of the future? Does it lead us to imagine a dystopian existence? Or are we more hopeful than that?
In the lead-up to the 2016 Federal Election, we wanted to take a moment to step back and remember what we're working towards — whether it's a dream of what's possible or a future to avoid at all costs. Then we thought it would be even better to hear it from you.
Fiction from the Future
We are inviting all fiction writers to submit a short story with the theme "Fiction from the Future" in mind. We will be publishing the winning entry and two highly commendable entries in the Australian Greens magazine. So far, our judges include our very own Senator Peter Whish-Wilson and WA author Susan Midalia. The winner will receive a copy of Susan Midalia's book of short stories Feet to the Stars. Runners up will receive a copy of To the Beach: Community conservation and its role in 'sustainable development' by Thor Kerr.
