To help the Queensland Greens raise urgent election funds to fight back against unprecedented attacks from the LNP and far-right lobby groups, a small group of passionate Greens supporters have offered to match any donation made in the first two weeks of the 2025 Federal Election campaign, up to a limit of $120,000.
This effectively means that if you make a donation during the first weeks of the election, your donation will be doubled - allowing us to purchase twice as much ad space on TV, radio, billboards and social media, reaching twice as many Queensland voters.
How it works
When you make a donation, it will be matched dollar for dollar by one of our matching donors, doubling your impact. So if you donate $50, they will also donate $50, giving the Greens a combined $100 towards our urgent re-election campaigns.
- If you donate $100, the Greens receive $200.
- If you donate $250, the Greens receive $500.
- If you donate $1,000, the Greens receive $2,000.
Because it is so critical to book ad space in the first weeks of the campaign, before it is all bought up by Clive Palmer and the major parties, our matching donors have extended this offer to all donations made in the first two weeks of the election.

How much can I claim on my tax?
For tax purposes, you may only claim your personal donation, not the matching amount donated by the matching givers. So if you donate $100 personally to the appeal, that is the amount that you can claim.
Individuals may claim up to $1,500 in donations and membership fees made to a political party, every financial year.
